When is the best time to tweet for maximum twitter traffic and exposure?

Thu, Mar 19, 2009

You might wonder what the busiest times on twitter are, so you can then time your important tweets to give them the best chance of being seen by more of your followers.

Well, over the past couple of months I have received a LOT of visitors to my websites via twitter, I have charted them below showing how many visitors came at what hour of the day.

The time is set to Pacific Time, to see the difference between pacific time and your time zone, click here.

As you can see, I got most of my referrals from twitter between 1pm and 2pm.

But going on this data, it looks as though posting any time from 9am to 3pm will give you the best chance of getting exposure and traffic from twitter.

The chart shows how you could be cutting your chances of getting exposure on twitter in half depending on when you post your tweets.

Now, I think I’ll wait about 10 hours before I let my followers know about this new blog post! :)

Have you noticed any particular times or days when twitter seems most busy?

Does TweeterGetter Generate Useless Untargetted Followers?

Thu, Feb 19, 2009

Amid the much recent discussion surrounding my new service TweeterGetter, some of those not in favor of the idea suggested that all it would do is attract a large number of useless and mainly untargetted followers.

For the majority that will not be the case, the entire design of the site has an ‘internet marketing’ style to it, the fact that it is a viral downline builder means it will largely attract and interest a particular group of people… business minded people, internet marketers and entrepreneurs.

Now while I was sure that would be the case, I had no real verifiable way to prove it, until I came across this… TwitterSheep.

TwitterSheep.com allows you to enter someones twitter username and it will generate a tag cloud showing what that users followers are talking about, here’s a shot of the subjects my followers have been talking about.

While there is definitely a wide spectrum of topics there, the main theme is blatantly business related.  Actually you could almost break it down and say my followers are “Online Social Marketers who Love People and Life”.

Cooool.  :)

Try TwitterSheep yourself, find out what your followers interests are so you can then communicate with them more effectivley.

Free Geo Location Script – Greet Your Visitors By Their City

Tue, Feb 17, 2009

I’m sure you’ve come across online advertisements or websites that mention your City, State etc.

Most often they tend to be ads for online dating sites saying, “meet and chat to people right now in xxxxxxx”, or something to that effect.

When I first started to look into how to do this on my own sites the only reliable methods I found seemed to be pretty costly, but a few weeks back I found a simple way to do it for free, and it seems to be pretty accurate as far as I can tell.

Click here to see how accurate it is…

It’s just one simple block of code…

Click here to grab the code…

First paste the above code into note pad. Then copy and paste it again into your websites html wherever you want the location text to appear. The text will adhere to any style attributes applied to it on the page.

Also, the part of the script that reads, “Walnut Creek, CA”, is what will be appear when no location is able to be found, so you can change that to whatever you like.

Hope you get some use out of this and let me know how accurate the script was for you when you clicked the demo above.

Later.

Whats been going on?

Ok, I really need to start updating this blog more often, so I’m going to make an effort to actually start blogging on it.

So, what have I been up to?

Well you probably already know that I recently released my latest software product, Instant Affiliate Generator, which has been amazingly successful so far, and has been getting some great positive comments and reviews around the internet as well as in the members forum.

I expect an updated IAG with some cool new features to be ready around mid March.

My next project, coming very soon is Forum Launch Formula, which will be a short report with accompanying software that helps you start successful internet discussion forums using my own unique strategy which honestly, really does work every single time!

I don’t plan to have a big hoopla launch for it, I’ll just let my own subscribers know and take it from there. Oh and if you own Instant Affiliate Generator then you’ll get it free, and before everyone else. So now you’ve no reason not to go buy IAG! :)

After that I have an affiliate training website in the works, it will be completely free to join and will be largely based around training you to make money promoting my current and future products. There will be lots of affiliate tools as well as audio and video training, statistics tracking, all kinds of cool stuff.

I have at least two other launches planned for 2008 which I don’t want to say much about right now, one of them is a pretty major script/training package based around getting the most from whatever traffic you get. I’m really looking forward to this because I know its something unique that will be very well received.

Another thing I plan to do, as I said, is update this blog more often, I’ve struggled in the past wondering what kind of stuff to post on here. So I’ve just ordered a microphone / headset thing so I can start making short case studies on various things I do in my marketing, then I’ll come and post the results on here, so I hope you’ll enjoy those. As well as the general updates on what I’m at.

So subscribe via one of those forms over there ————->

… if any of this sounds like something you’d like to keep tabs on. :)

And to add a little advice to the end of this, if you don’t have some kind of plan of action yourself, get one. Start with whatever task will show a result with the least effort, that should motivate you enough to start on the next task.

The main reason people don’t have any success is because they jump around and don’t see anything through to completion, I’ve been very guilty of this myself. So set yourself a target, and just hit it, until you hit it. (to borrow a term from Mark Joyner’s brilliant simpleology)

Later!
